I was reading the nice tutorial of Fred Weinhaus on Fourier Transforms:

It is very clear, but I didn't catch was what is the difference between +ift/+fft and -fft/-ift.

The - form create magnitude/phase image pairs that can be used without HDRI compile IM. The + form creates real/imaginary image pairs that can only be used with HDRI compiled Imagemagick. My personal tutorial is at http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/ ... urier.html
