PNG/GIF transparency no longer works with Fedora 12

Hello. Previously, I could get a PNG to show with transparent areas not visible over the desktop (FVWM) using the --immutable tag. This worked up through Fedora 11, but for some reason it no longer does. With F12 however, and on multiple machines I now see the checkerboard over transparent areas, and have not been able to determine the issue.

Thanks!

Bob

We can reproduce the problem you posted and have a patch in ImageMagick 6.5.9-2 Beta. Thanks.

Thank you, downloaded ImageMagick-6.5.9-3 and transparency in F12 works nicely now. One thing that I note is that the -immutable switch now makes the checkerboard show up, but running without it shows transparency, the reverse of how it worked before. I like this, since by default I do want to see transparency.
